CnC welcome (I know there’s too many for anyone to comment on them all individually)
thanks for looking
. :)
ExpresbroParticipantFrom an aesthetic point of view, if these were in my wedding album I’d be very happy with them.
I particularly like the detail shots like the car with the church steeple behind, the shoes and the hand with the fabric..the candids are nice too..you’ve obviously put a lot of thought into them before hand.
Were you the main photographer? I assume you did all the usual formal shots as well?
FrankCParticipantI like these – good compositions. I also particularly like the car/church one.
All the colour ones (apart from the last 2) seem to have a greenish cast – not sure if that’s intentional.
Did you use off-camera flash for the last two ?
easParticipantthanks for the comments.
Robbie – I was the main photographer on the day. Niamh & Douglas where a great couple, up for a bit of fun. Shame the weather put a bit of a dampener on things. To be honest for the most part I don’t put too much thought into things before hand. I have a bit of an ever expanding catalog in my head, and when I see something that resembles something in my catalog I try and grab it.
FrankC – The green cast is intentional in the bouquet, but not really in the others. I may have a look at that.
Yes, off camera flash – sb 900 in a lastolite ezbox
FrankC, nice work too! (had a look at your website)
thanks again.
AllinthemindParticipantLovely images. Your website is great too. Some odd colours going on, are you applying some presets to these? What camera/converter are you using? Is this a style?
Si
jb7ParticipanteasParticipantthanks for the comments guys.
These where taken with a d3, converted in LR with the ACR 4.4 colour profile applied. Then some adjusting of tint + white balance gives them a slightly odd colour. I’ve thought about the fact that a high percentage of my colour photos do tend to swing with a green / yellow tinge to them. I’m not sure if it will continue, but for now maybe it could be considered style. Perhaps not a very strong one mind you.

markcapilitanParticipanteasParticipantSodafarlMemberrichiehatchMemberVery nice set of images EAS. I know the church and hotel in question. That church can
be a nightmare to shoot in if there is harsh light. Stunning detail shots too…! I like the
toning that you have applied to some of em. More importantly did the couple like it…! Its
a tough one to get right… what we as photographers like and what everyone else likes
can be sooooo different…!Richie
easParticipantThanks Ritchie. I loved that church. That window was like having a huge sofbox. It was an overcast day when I was there. I can see it being a huge pain on a bright day, as it was most of the shots into the window where 2 – 3 stops overexposed according to the meter.
