Another Newbie

Hi All,
Im a newbie to the photography scene im currently doing a course in digital photography. I recently bought my first digital slr its a nikon d50 and would love it if anyone could recommend a good telephoto ens that wont break the bank. i only have one lens that came with my camera a nikkor 18 – 55mm and want to branch out. any help would be great. thanks in advance :lol:

Welcome to the site Sandra, and congratulations on your new camera,
the 70-300 is usually a good way to go, and you will find the Sigma would
be far more affordable than the Nikon lenses, not a bad lens either for the
money also has macro facility on it. But it really depends on what type of
photography you most enjoy, whatever it is enjoy it :)Thanks a million for all your replies. thanks jenny that sounds great about the sigma lens il go look them up. i wil post some pics when i figure out how to :D
Hi everyone, these are just a couple of snaps i took a while ago on an ordinary point n shoot digital camera. when i tried to upload images from my d50 it says d image size is too big. can anyone tel me how to get around that?
