Tourmakeady Waterfall

Despite having tonnes of stuff to do, I got up to Tourmakeady Waterfall yesterday. I am so going to get a 17-40 for my 5DII. I was really feeling cramped with 24mm!

I have another shot with tighter cropping, but I thought I’d put this version up as you might have a better cropping idea.

A surreal Tolkien-esque look to this, wouldn’t look out of place with a Hobbit washing his oversized feet on the left !

Is this an HDR shot ? Or multiple blended shots ?

If I had to nitpick, possibly the left hand rock is cropped a little tight to the left hand side, but apart from that, a wonderful shot.

Quite; and I thought at first that the green thingy was a face-down corpse…

Pete, single shot. minor amounts of fill light in Lightroom. I’d actually prefer to crop it that rock on the left out altogether.

Robt. I think it looks a little like an alligator from the tail end.

Very nice sean. The light is lovely and I quite like the crop.

    Thanks fig.

For the first time in my life, I’m wondering if a 2X1 vertical panorama might be the best crop!

Well for me the first crop just sits better but maybe framed and mounted well it might make a better print in the 2×1.
