This is from a climb on the reek on saturday- I find the rocks in foreground right distracting but cropping it out leaves the sandbank disconnected. Plans to go back already. D200 18-70

This wa taken the same day, from old head. Still re-learning film. sinar f 210mm

This is a re-crop and process of the first image, I’m not sure if i prefer it, the green
on the bottom grounds the image.

The b/w was shot on ‘shanghai 100’ thru a red filter and dev in HC110 B. Thanks John

Vey nice, I see what you mean about the rocks, if it was mine I would crop them out anyway as it would improve the shot.

I was there over the weekend but didnt venture much above sea level – what with the 3 kids…… next time though!

I have one from slightly to the left of your second one, I must stick it up later. Thats one of my all time favorite beaches… not sure why, might be memories from my childhood when we used to holiday in Louisburgh.

    Cheers

I have to confess, I thought until now that you were nfl-fan’s alterego.

I like the colour one, you had nice light to work with… but why didn’t you bring up the Sinar to the topof the hill? :)

Edit: I am still wondering, whether you are the same person as JB7 or not…

Well I’m just me. No alter egos. No other username.

It would have been nice to take the sinar up – if I had a caravan of mules. tripod, filmbacks monorail 4×5 and an slr for metering, all
the way up croagh patrick is just too much penance for me.

I plan on taking it trekking, but not climbs.

I took mine up to Djuice Mountain in the winter… I have to spend a fortune on physiotherapy now :)

What film/developer etc. did you use for the second one? To be honest, I only like the clouds in that one, the composition looks a bit shabby and the shadowy hills on the right side don’t do it for me either.. sorry for being harsh.

P.s.: Sorry for the accusations, some people made me paranoid.. time to take my medicines.
