Yet More PI LoFi Jolly Pictues – Holga and Diana
-
jessthespringerParticipant
Got the last of my negs scans yesterday, so, here’s a few more, just for the hell of it.
I think we must have some kind of record here, the most pictures posted from a PI outing, does anyone know? Mark?
From the Holga…
I was naughty, and photoshopped some of them
Next time we see him, he might look like Gandlof…
Jonathon Livingston, maybe?
And, a few from the Diana…
(I know not everyone likes Diana, but the pictures remind me of one of those toys from the 80’s, it had a round
card thingy, that when placed in a kinda camera shaped thingy showed pictures. Cna’t remember the name of them)And, that, as they say, is that. From me anyway…
Sinead
jb7ParticipantGandlof?
If only-
I’d smite you with my staff for putting that last Irish Dancing one up…I like that first one-
not entirely sure why, but I think it’s mostly the colour…Some of those Diana ones almost look to be in focus-
still need to get a scan off you…I like the one through the railings…
Yes, lots of fuzzy pix-
I’m personally responsible for 28 of them-
dunno what came over me…aoluainParticipantI like the firat one too and the foggy effect of the first
3.the shot through the railings caught my eye also.
I love the flare/fogging in all of them, is the diana more prone to
this than the holga I wonder?I didnt get that much flare really just some fogging from the
silly window at the back with the 220 film.Another nice set Sinead.
Is it just Robbie still to post from the day and Mick
also from the remote location!?GizzoParticipantaoluain wrote:

and, curiosity killed the cat, what’s wrong with the Diana?jessthespringerParticipantJoseph – It’s the beard!
I know from the Mournes trip, you have a little issue of ‘invisible fire’ but,
I didn’t know you had feet of flames as well… tee hee…
Well, if I ever get a high res scan, I’ll sent it to you, or maybe I’ll make you a print…I like the first too.
Alan – This Holga I’m using used to belong to Eddie, and he made some adjustments to the lens
(scratched the edges) so that gives more flare, especially when directly aimed at the light,
and a pretty heavy vignette too.I pretty sure the flare on the Diana pics, is due to some frames being exposed to light when I’m unloading,
the film in the Diana is a bit loose, but, I know how to fix it.Gigi – Well, I don’t really think there is anything wrong with Diana, but it doesn’t have the same sweet spot as a Holga,
so sharpness, or lack thereof is an issue for some people.
But, there is something very cute about the pictures, I think anyway…Thanks all for looking.

EddieParticipantNice work Sinead, making good use out of that Holga,
works a treat with colour. Enjoyed these earlier on Flickr.
I really like the last one, like a scene from a 60’s movie.MartinOCParticipantHolga is definitely a much better camera results wise than the Diana, it has a great signature.
Number 1 is my favourite one here, but a shame Greene’s bookstore is no more.it had a round card thingy, that when placed in a kinda camera shaped thingy showed pictures
View-master perhaps?
Martin
ExpresbroParticipantYep..me and Mick would be the last to post from the day. I think I’ll run into town tomorrow and drop them into Conns or Gunns and be done with it.
I had visions of myself grabbing the proverbial bull by the horns and developing my own..but i reckon if i do you’ll never see them ;-)
Sinead, I like the Diana shots here…and I actually like that shot of me with the FM2n and the holga beside me.It actually looks like I have a clue what I’m doing :-)
The Walls of Limerick shot is pretty cool as well ;-) Maybe we should have went to Fitzsimons instead.

jessthespringerParticipantThanks again all for the comments.
Eddie – Yes, I am, thanks again for that! I’ve made a few nice prints from it, the edges look good on paper.
Martin – tee hee, yes, that’s it! View Master, I loved mine, the Diana pics remind me of it…
Robbie – Still no sign of your pictures?!! I like that one of you too.
