Having kids high school and university age, they remind me of these facts all the time, but for us older folks these statistics can be startling. It’s five minutes long, but some of it is fairly stunning stuff, and worth the watch. Oh, its from an American viewpoint, but really relevant to everyone. A lot of things here are pretty obvious – China has a big population, a lot of babies are born in India….it has always been thus.
The points about computer evolution are I guess accurate. I would still feel though that electricity revolutionised society in a far greater way than the internet. Arguably, railroads did same.
One stand-out fact for me though, the proportion of married couples meeting on the internet…..thats something to think about.
