Colours are very nice and I like how the daisies appear like little floating dots. The bench, for me, not enough of a subject to carry the image. It needs a bit more.

What camera do you use as a matter of interest?

    Thanks for the comment liam.
The image goes with this quote

    Manifest plainness,
    Embrace simplicity,
    Reduce selfishness,
    Have few desires.

Hope that answers, your “it needs a bit more” thought. I should i have posted that with the photo, like the way it is in my flickr. oh well.

I use a Canon 5D Mk2 and a canon 85mm f/1.2 L lens. If you’re interested in the settings used, feel free to check my exif data on my flickr.

    Difficult one to compose really,

I feel the bench doesnt stand out of the picutre as well as
is should. The DOF is good though from the expensive glass

    was this shot WO?

The back of the bench is lost being in line too much with the hedge row
on the far side of the river/lake but a much lower shooting angle would have sorted that to
a point then again maybe not.

The light was’nt helping there either, and maybe a mono conversion would simplify it too.

Yeah, it was shot wide open at f/1.2.

Didn’t want to lie down on the grass………. it was wet.

I like the colours a lot, so i’m going to stay away from the mono conversion.

    Thanks for the comment.
