Took a wee trip over to Malin head this evening and clambered down to a outcrop
of rocks that Andy got a few decent shots from last year, grand going down
but a bugger getting back up again
No clouds about this evening so took this just after sunset
Very nice Cathal, really like the colours, the water looks brilliant, nice little bit of movement too.
I think it works as a square, from the top down, if you know what I mean. But, maybe that’s just me,
I having a square thing just now…
Love this pic too but not sure about the square crop if you were to take out the water. The luminescence of the water and the movement are what make it for me and if anything I would crop out the sky more so than the water as I feel the sky is a bit dark in relation to the water. I love the colours of the water, it has the atmosphere of an eighteenth century seascape.
The one thing that niggles is the suggestion that maybe you were using Grads, the transition from well exposed rock to dark rock is very noticeable on the mid-left section of the photo.
