Thats a great shot you did well to keep the head and body sharp. The blurr in the wing tips gives a sense of speed and movement, the rain also looks good streaking down. Struggling to criticise – maybe crop a little off the left hand side between the tip of the tail and the edge.

I’ve deliberately left a lot of space around the Kite. Judging at this years IPF nature final was definitely skewed towards subjects with a lot of space around them. So I’m trying to keep space in the shot from now on. Anyway, it’s a critique I’ve gotten on some of my stuff recently: cropped too tight.
Excellent timing i would imagine it’s not easy tracking these guys well done.

Not bad, not bad at all…especially considering it was in the rain. Might a slightly larger image be useful to appreciate it in all it’s spendour?

Flickr resized the image down from the original 600*400 to 500*?. I don’t post any larger than 600* so I guess you’ll see them at another presentation ;-)

It’s funny, people rag on about resizing images so that you don’t have to click to another site and trust me (new user), i agree, however i would love to see this shot bigger !!
