MartinParticipant
Haven’t posted a pic in a while, so here goes…
Yes its infrared you guessed, how origional of me, not doing as much IR these days believe it or not but do shot a role every now and again. Shot taken for a small project I am working on for myself…
This is a neg scan, most prob have not a hope of getting it to look like this in the dark room…..
Cheers
MTaken on the Mamiya and the film was Efke IR Aura
thefizzParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantVery nice indeed. The effect of getting drawn into the image really makes the image. To apply a cliche, this would look good printed large.
Alan
MartinParticipantThanks guys glad you liked it
Peter: I’ll give it a go in the dark room, not sure I would have the skills to bring this shot to life though, I will try as I do like it though. Your welcome to borrow the neg if you want to have a go at any stage:-) would be interesting to see how someone else would print it
Alan: I think the shot draws you in also, think it would be nice large too, Have it as my wallpaper on my mac at the moment which is 24inchs wide and looks real nice i think
Thanks again
MMadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantHi Martin, the most attractive part of the image is the tree structure against the milky soft leave light. Perspective is well chosen, lightbalance is great. I am not a big fan of glow-adjustments because usually they are not used right and turn a great image into kitsch.
In this case it works for its best. Really like it. Congrats!
Cheers
M*PS: looking forward to see some post of your “small project”
5faytheParticipantHi Martin,
This is a very pleasant & interesting image to view.
Well done.
John.
MartinParticipantThanks again all,
Madeleine: No “glow-adjustments” here, this film has no antihalation layer which mean light goes through the film, hits the paper of the 120 role and reflects back onto the film giving a slight glow… My “Small Project” will be going on for a while, its just a project to create 10 good quality prints of the different parts of St Ann’s Park. I’m about 6 months into it, around another 6 to go….

aoluainParticipantBeautiful Martin,
The softness in the image with the light filtering through the trees
and the lighting in general is wonderful.Im a fan of your IR stuff . . .
