Right….I’ve got three days up that way next weekend, and I want to know the most worthwhile places to head to with the camera. I know there’s a good few Donegal people lurking around here, so give us the heads up if ya can. Would save me so much time!

    Cheers,

Wow, a lot of recommendations for a short weekend there! Thanks guys, will have to try do. I sense more than one trip this summer! :P

Mick, I can only imagine your pain. I’ll be taxi service to the drunken car load of college students….but somehow I still think your experience might win! :P

Barnes Gap is 15 minutes drive from Donegal town on the road towards Ballybofey. Is lovely, but I’m not sure about places to take photos from, there doesn’t seem to be any rest stops along the wat.

Mamore Gap is great also that’s near Clonmany somewhere.

All the places the guys said about are great
but if you plan to come as far as Malin Head direction it would take you the guts of 1.5-2 hours by car
Glenveigh park is good with the old castle in the grounds also and about 20 mins from there is ards forest park

If your heading the inishowen direction give us a shout

I knowI wont get to go everywhere I’d like, but that just means I have a reason to organise another weekend away ;)

    Cheers :)
