Coincidence?

BMParticipant
Don’t know if this is just an unfortunate coincidence or if I’m getting paranoid, but ….
2007 – Chinese year of the Chicken – Bird Flu Pandemic devastates parts of Asia
2008 – Chinese year of the Horse – Equine Influenza decimates Australian racing
2009 – Chinese year of the Pig – Swine Flu Pandemic kills hundreds of pigs/humans around the globe.
It gets worse……..
Next year……
2010 – Chinese year of the Cock – what could possibly go wrong?

Next year is the year of the Tiger. They’re a bit out on that one, the Celtic Tiger will be but a vague memory by then.
BMParticipantmmm, my post had “Next year is the year of teh C0ck …” (spelt with an “o”), but this was censored!
Perhaps next year will be the year of the banker.
thedarkroomParticipantWe all know how reliable Wikipedia is but here goes anyway, 1924 to 2043

Mick451ParticipantthedarkroomParticipantMe? The year of the Rat.
‘It is an animal associated with wealth, charm, and order, yet also associated with aggression, death, war, the occult, pestilence, and atrocities’ according to Wikipedia.
Nothing new there then :!:Alan RossiterParticipantBMParticipantMick451ParticipantthedarkroomParticipantMick451 wrote:

I’m confused, is that not in the wrong order? ‘After’?

Where do you get these quotes from? Do you make it up as you go along?
Would the year of the rabbit have any implications for population?

On hairy biker weekends, I drink beer and talk sh1te, not eat it!!
I had originally meant hopping about all over the pace, thinking about sex all the time – but I think I prefer Mick’s descriptions.
