    spectacular

Definition: sensational in appearance or thrilling in effect; “a dramatic sunset”; “a dramatic pause”; “a spectacular display of northern lights”; or you can just check out the above photo

Very nice. Love the reflections in the foreground.

A great image Gary, a wide range of colours which you’ve obviously emphasised in the sky to get that mauvey purple coming out. The only thing I would say is that the reflection of the sky in the water doesn’t have this same rich purpleness in it ! Small point I know and not something that detracts from the image at all.

    Beautiful Gary,

An explosion of colour, very appealing!

Fheck it I might as well pick at a little issue
there is a noticable halo around the tree.
    Small issue though.

    Great shot Gary,

The colours and composition are really nicely done

Thanks for the comments everyone, glad you like it :)

I see what you mean Alan, i possibly tried to dodge the sky too much in that area which may have caused the slight halo although it seems more noticable here than on the full size version.

Great picture Gary. The previous comemnts say it all.

Belfast had thunder storms, Newry had a magnificent sunset!

Is there a slight loss of sharpness around the tree and across teh middle distance? – perhaps due to compression – hard to tell on a small print on a laptop screen.

Glad you asked that Brian as when i got home i thought all the shots with that tree were out of focus or i had moved the camera. Whatever the type of tree it is it has smaller thin leaves dangling down and it looks unsharp but it is in focus. Its almost an optical illusion.
