i use mine for everything
dont have a mouse anymore
it will take you a couple of days to get used to
guy gowan once tyold me, unplug the mouse and stick it in the drawer else you will constantly go back to it qand not get used to the tablet
MartinOCParticipantsean1098MemberGot one a while ago……..love it……as already mentioned, dont know how i worked without it. Great in photoshop etc.
Sean.
GizzoParticipantwhat would be the best buy, with a good quality/price ratio??
any online shop worth looking?thanks ;)
stcstcMemberi have tried a couple of cheap ones, and they are a false economy
just buy a wacom, they just work right
if you can stretch one of the new intuous 4 range would be very good
I have a A5 wide intuos 3 and its very very good
Alan RossiterParticipantI bought a Trust cheapie from Argos…I don’t see why I would have wanted to spend more on something that does the same job. I use both a mouse and the tablet as I’m left handed (tablet) and got used to using a mouse in the right hand and find it more than useful on PS.
Alan
easParticipantgreat – thanks for the replies everyone.
Anyone have any comments about how well they work for Lightroom?
I’m a lefty as well, so maybe I’d be able to do all kinds of magic.
Steve, any reason for an A4 – or is the A5 well big enough?
easParticipantjust ordered a Wacom Intuos4 Medium A5 – looks the business. I’m sure I’ll regret not buying one much sooner.
thanks again
FYI – is was 320* delivered from dabs.ie
edit* – I’ve been asked about the price from dabs – apologies for not making stating this, but that price is with a business account. Sorry for misleading anyone.
stcstcMemberI found in terms of size its fine, i use it with 2 24″ monitors, dont use a mouse and use the tablet for everything
Alan i tried a couple of those cheep tablets and found the difference is amazing between it and the wacom, from an accuracy and feel point of view
Alan RossiterParticipantI’ll have a look so Steve. As far as I was concerned as long as it worked but obviously there is a notable difference going by the reviews.
Cheers,
Alan.
cathaldParticipantI was in pc world yesterday getting some paper and on the way out I saw the trust tablet in the
sale dept for 22 quid the box was a bit bashed that was all so I am trying to get used to it at the moironiaParticipanthi I have one tablet a4 for sell, used few times, comes with mouse, pen in pack.
if interested ironia.artgmail.comPeteWMemberOn the subject of Graphics Tablets, there’s one on offer this Sunday in Aldi –
http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/2827_10573.htm?WT.mc_id=2009-09-25-12-00
€50 Wacom – pic suggests it’s a Bamboo….
Any feelers as to whether this is a good buy and whether it would actually help at all ?
