Hi all,
My name is Mark from Dublin, I’m new to photography, I’ve been using my Sony point and shoot digital camera for years and I’m now just doing some research into DSLR cameras to see which one I should go for. So if anyone has any good links to buying guides or photography tips I’d very much appreciate it :)Hopefully I’ll have some nice photo’s for you all in the not too distant future
Thanks, Mark
aoluainParticipantWelcome Mark,
Dont be shy in asking questions, plenty of help here.
Here is another thread from someone wanting to buy a starter
kit, you might find it helpful and you can also PM dNiq about
his experience in buying that Nikon he got!!https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=28999&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
Anyway have fun,
Alan
GCPParticipant5faytheParticipantHi Mark,
I hope you get as much fun and information from the site
as I have. There are lots of excellent DSLR’s available now.
With so many new models being released in the last couple
of years there also seem to be many excellent models available
in the used market. You could keep an eye on the for sale topic on this site.
Best of luck.
John.
aoluainParticipantshutterbugParticipantWelcome to the site Mark, :) I am a Sony user myself moved into
the SLR market three years ago with the A100 and now the A700
both excellent cameras, though have to say all entry level SLR’s seem
to be good, plus’s and minus’s on all just depends what you want, good
luck choosing………probably the most important decision you will make
(photographically speaking) is what brand you will buy into, bodies you
will undoubtedly change but lenses you will keep so choose carefully:)mnixonParticipantThanks for the welcome messages everyone :D
I’m currently thinking about going for a D60 with an 18-55 lens from Argos in Norn Iron, less than €400 8)
Although I may be tempted into the 2nd hand market if I can get something superior for in or around the same money,
either way I won’t be rushing into anything! Thanks again for the welcomes
