A rare sight indeed, I heard one on Sunday but it has been a long long
time since I actually spotted one, nice shot though I would be tempted
to crop a little more off the right?If I hadn’t seen your range of wildlife shots up to now I’d have been calling you a jammy git! But well captured and as close up as I’ve seen one.

Only ever heard a cuckoo (down in The Black Valley in Kerry) but never seen one. They always remind me of a Peregrine Falcon.
Anyway… well done on getting the shot..!

Well done againCheers for the Feedback folks- They are tough to find and very shy. I have been lucky this year that I have got to see around 10. There are a good few in the local upland areas in Knuttery and arond the Nagles . This one is from a major cukoo stronghold – Lough Bunny in the Burren. Sat up in a tree close to the car. Lucky or what.

Nice shot. You were very lucky to get so close. I was watching three of them a few weeks ago. They were too far away for any sort of decent picture and flew away as soon as I was getting closer. Difficult to photograph so well done.
