Olympus Pen 50th Anniversary

Has anyone been following the teaser campaign from Olympus related to the Pen 50th Anniversary?

What is interesting is that the URL contains the folder “dslr“.
I wonder will we soon see the latest incarnation of the Pen, a micro four thirds version that hopefully looks like the retro one shown last year.

never been a fan of olympus.
but I must admit that this is even more stylish than leica.Lovely camera. Not often I see a digital camera that I like but thats one for sure.
Anyone buying??
It does look lovely and has a reasonable amount of manual control.
I’m sure it will be able to take M-mount lenses soon with an adapter, handy for me, but I think I would get the panasonic g1 as I like a viewfinder.
Anyways I’m not buying any more cameras for a while.M

Looks more like a toy than a tool to me. Disappointed again. I am waiting for a camera like this, but with a smaller LCD screen, less buttons, less gimmicks, short shutter delay(can’t find info on how fast this one works).
The pictures look OK, but not great. Even at ISO 200 the shadows are blurry and noisy. It definitely is better than a compact camera, but not as good as I wish it was. People who bought DSLR’s for taking pictures on holidays will sell their “big” cameras now and want one of these, I am sure.
Very expensive for a toy at one grand.

I agree that I am waiting to see reviews talking about shutter lag. That was one of the things that made my shy away from the Sigma DP1. It’s easy to get used to the response of a nice DSLR.
Had a very quick play with one of these today, had instant camera lust! Lovely looking, and nice to hold, seems to be laid out nicely,
nice sound from the shutter too, was completely surprised by that. I didn’t take any pictures though… But I might go back and have another play with it.
It didn’t have a viewfinder… They attach to the hotshoe? I think so anyway. Don’t think I’d like that too much.Really very nice looking thing.
