Got lucky enough to get this snap before he flew off. I was stoked to see him beside the seed. I felt it showed his size.

Some of these creatures can look a little scary alright
when viewed close up.Well captured and as you say the seed gives a sense of
scale.Might I suggest as well that you embed your images so that we don’t have to
click to another site to view them fully.

i like your image and am no expert on macro but from viewing competitions and on print nights
the image would lose marks for the right wing is not sharp. on macro images they want total sharpness throught the object.

This photo was taken with a nikon 18-55 lens tho, so it was difficult to focus properly given the time frame.
I’d love to get a macro lens as im loving trying to photograph insects lately.
