West Cork PI Trip

What it says on the tin really. We’re pretty new here, and members of Clon camera club, but they have no meetings over the summer :? so, we were looking for people to go out on shooting expeditions with! :) Nice walks, general camera based trips. West Cork area – due to lack of any real transport – we’re often around Clon/Ross/Ownahincha, and can get to pretty much anywhere near there – also Dunmanway area :)

I reside in the North Cork, East Limerick area, and would be pleased to travel west for a meet-up.

    Keep me informed! :D

    PI meet in west Cork?

Last summer I organised a trip to Port in Donegal.

I’ll be organising one for this summer – either Donegal, Conemara or the South East – Kilkenny/Wexford.

I’ve been on a couple of biker weekends recently – one to Kilkenny and one to Clifden – and was amazed at the beauty of the scenery. Connemara I was expecting (though not quite what I experienced). However, Kilkenny was a revelation!!

Hi, live in Cork City and will eagerly travel most places for an outing – particularly West Cork.

    Count me in!

I’d be interested in a meet down this side of the country too… :)

OK, let’s start with trying to identify a suitable venue – any suggestions ? Laura, you may have some specific ones in mind?

I’d have two suggestions – The Gearagh near Macroom, or Glengariff Nature reserve – have been to both and they are very beautiful,
    especially Glen.

I had nothing specific in mind – I’m always happy to go to new places, especially if they have plenty of wildlife/birds or are just plain gorgeous! :D I love Rosscarbery – but appreciate that it’s pretty dead birdwise at the moment, and it’s not to everyone’s taste. Gougane Barra? Though perhaps a bit overdone? That said, I think the woods are very interesting, and pose some interesting photography opportunities…

I really don’t know in other words  only been living here a few months and don’t have transport   so I’m open to suggestions :D

I’d be up for it as long as it’s somewhere i can get to on the bus (no transport).

Barring the wife or wallet forbidding it, i’d be willing to drive to Cork area for a meet, also i can do a couple of pickups on the way if needed as i live in Co. Down.

I would be up for that, a fair drive from Derry, but it would be nice to see another part of the country.

Coming from Galway i would be down for it. I’m sure there would be more from Galway interested. I don’t mind giving a lift also.
