will somebody please make one of these? Zoltan? Rob?

jb7Participant
ok, Zoltan and Rob have both threatened to do things with matchboxes,
and never did-Now there’s no excuse-
you’ve probably all seen this before, but I’ve only just come across it,
and it looks like a great design…http://www.matchboxpinhole.com/
btw, where’s Rob?
randomwayMemberaoluainParticipant:lol:
Class, I suppose an empty jumbo box of matches could be used for 120 roll format !!
This is definitely bookmarked.
randomwayMemberrandomwayMemberI am thinking more in the line of this: http://www.popphoto.com/Features/How-to/Build-Your-Own-4×5-Point-and-Shoot
But I would like to have the ground glass and tripod mount as well, and maybe shift… so basically a Silvestri shift outfit… I have to ask my brother if he can engineer one for me :)
jb7ParticipantI’d seen that one before Zoltan-
it’s all in the cone-
I’d like to see you whittle one of those with a Stanley knife…120? I suppose the transport system would be a bit more difficult…
aoluainParticipantThis thread got me thinking . . .
I have an unused disposable camera in the fridge from 2007
could I reuse it . . .YES WE CAN

I’ve been, erm, indisposed or something windswept and interesting
like that. But I’m not dead yet, as far as I know…Yes, the matchbox pinhole has been done before as Alan mentioned.
I am working on one, not quite matchbox size, but I won’t be posting
any results until I’m happy with them myself…Okay, so it won’t be as interesting a read as jb7’s ‘Arca Irish’ project, but
I’ll document the entire process. Someone’s bound to have a laugh…Dermot1ParticipantI’ve made a few of these but results haven’t been great unfortunatley, will stick to my shoe box for more consistent results, am also experimenting with a 4×5 pinhole made from a big old biscut tin i found, am slowly getting closer to the types of results i want it. have also seen but not used a couple of wheelie bin pinhole cameras so thats one to put on the list.
