Barley Light

Lost me fecking remote in this field. Back to cons for another one so :(
C/C welcome
PD_BARBSParticipantThe light is stunning, the sky looks great, but there is nothing about the shot in general that catches me.
Something more for foreground interest would probably have worked better
DeeboParticipantagree on this, great light and superb sky but no real focal point. A tractor, house or person would have added the missing element
Still nice image but needs that one extra bit to make it complete
DeesirvadMemberthanks for commments. 5Faythe has a shot of field of Barley going up a hill with tracks too. it was nominated for photo of month and i loved it( also no focal point). This i suppose is my version of it.
Thanks again guys for advicesharonlMemberbeautiful light, great shot, I agree with earlier posts, an additional point of interest would have been a cracker!!

MallachtParticipantAll has been already said the tractor track is a good lead in but leads your eye to no point of intrest
dar_dParticipantI think this is an excellent shot and for me I dont need a focal point to make it better. The contrast in the colours and the flow of the barley are enough for me
Harry LimeParticipantaoluainParticipantVery Nice sirvad!
Beautiful colours, great light and the movement in the barley is lovely.
I cant help wanting to see more cloud detail to the right though.
Still it is a strong image and the colours really boost it IMO.
Well done,
Alan
sirvadMembereshortieParticipantVery nice image but I’d be tempted to remove the telephone poll, or is that me being picky?
sirvadMemberCheers for comment but think i ill leave it as it is. thanks for taking time
MickSParticipantLovely shot imo, the colours in the sky and the clouds are superb. The only issue I’d have with this shot is that its cyring out for a slight rotation to the left. Otherwise its a stunning image.
bigalguitarpickerParticipantIf this pic was rotated a bit to straighten the pole on the right, then the pole on the left would be crooked, wouldn’t it? The golden light in the foreground and midground removes the need for any further element(s) in the foreground. The tracks across the field disappear over the hill creating an element of tension and mystery. The overall image is centered around the golden light and nothing further is required. The sky itself may be a little dark at the top of the image, but that’s easily remedied. Overall, it’s a beautiful image. I can almost see the grass waving and the light moving with it. This I think is one image where we can say “Rules are there to be broken.”
I notice very few of the critics have any images in their galleries.

Alex.Maybe I missed something but I didn’t realise a member had to have
images in their gallery in order to comment on an image. :?sirvad I think this is a really nice image.
Well done.
John.
