Dave.
Alan RossiterParticipantMother of God!!! What are you going to present when you do get the hide??
Excellent stuff.

5faytheParticipantHi John,
This is a beautiful set of images and I would be very
happy to have taken them.Looked through them a few times and can’t pick a favourite but, I suppose,
why pick a favourite.Very pleasant viewing.
Well done.
John.
PadraigParticipantGoosebankerParticipantcoolaghParticipantJohn GriffinParticipantnfl-fanParticipantThanks lads.
All of these were taken from me deck chair… no hide, just me sitting there on full show. I wouldn’t say any of these are as high a standard as they could be. Yes, the light was very harsh. I was happy just to get such a good range of species.
There were other missed opportunities…
The Yellowhammers never, ever seem to stop and pose in a decent spot. Always akward.
2 adult and 4 juvenile Goldfinch all landed nearby. A group shot would have been class.
A Bullfinch, the one I want most, stopped by and then left, no photo opp.
Strangely enough… only a couple of Coal Tits and not a single Blue Tit… usually these two breeds run the show.
Haven’t seen a Long Tailed Tit in over a year… next to the Bullfinch another I want to master.
Thanks
JTinyMemberJasus lad, you’ve been busy, great selection of shots though, so well worth the time invested, well done…… any chiff chaff’s around your way, apparently there’s loads down her… just need to see a decent photo of one so as to be able to recognise is again….
nfl-fanParticipantI wouldn’t know a Chiff Chaff if I seen one Niall, I tend to educate myself on each species only as I find them.
What sort of land do they like to occupy? If there’s plenty around… then I need to find them.
Me porta-hide is due on Monday… so some field trips are in order.
