This was on the other side of the cave Jameos del Aqua, a cactus garden and
man made lagoon built inside a crater, the surrounding walls were about 35ft
high, boiling hot the water in the lagoon was like a hot bath.randomwayMemberOh, go away with your perfect blue water and palm trees! :) Hope you had a great time there!
I wish I could see a bit more on the right hand side, the other end of the pool. Otherwise I like the photo.
5faytheParticipantHi Jenny,
I love Lanzarote and have been there many times.
I really like the way I could get in the car and drive anywhere
on the island without too long a journey.I like your image.
It brings back good memories.Probably agree with the suggestion re more of the pool.
Thanks,
John.
shutterbugParticipantWell if you are gonna have water it has to be perfect blue and of
course there HAS to be a palm tree, :) and yes thanks I did have a
great time, only had the 18-200 lens with me (my travel lens) so just
wasnt quite wide enough and I wanted to get the tree in, I think there
were people on the far side of the pool which spoiled my idyllic scene :)Glad it brought good memories…….thanks for looking!
flynnyParticipantLovely shot,
I was there myself a while back,
I think I’m right in saying that the pool was built for the King of Spain,
It’s a lovely shot though, shutterbugParticipantDeeboParticipantLovely shot and might be heading to here in Sept, so I will keep any eye out for this.
DeeaoluainParticipantNever been, but I wanna go now !
Lovely scene Jenny, I love the way the light from the water is bouncing
back to illuminate the underside of the tree.I would say your colour balance is slightly off, there is a bit too much Magenta in the sky.
Really nice scene though.

shutterbugParticipantThanks Dee, you will really enjoy it, a very easy island to get around,
we hired a car for three days for only 55 euro!! petrol only 79c litre and
at only an hour and a half from tip to tip you wont be needing to top up
the tank too often.shutterbugParticipantEveryone should see Lanzerote Aoluainn, it is so different, my pictures doesn’t
do it justice especially the ones of the volcanic areas, virtually the same as the
day the volcano’s erupted, well not the same day but you know what I mean!
What struck me the most was when I got home and the place looked SO green,
though there is a Golf course there that looks a bit ridiculous this little oasis of
green in a black and barren landscape.Didnt do anything with the colour but now you mention it the sky does look a
bit purply, I wonder is the turqoise water making it look like that?freddie59ParticipantshutterbugParticipant
