Tripod brands ??

  What are the good quality tripods that work well, are likely to last and what kind of a budget are we looking at ??

  Don’t buy cheap crap it’s just a waste of money
  A manfrotto 055 would be a decent tripod and can be got for just over €100
  You then need a head and that will be personal preference

  Yep Manfrotto or Slik

  they are great machines and will last years.

  I got a Giotto and its serving me great.
  Got this and head for 95 quid on amazon, agree about the cheap ones. Had 2, waste of money

  Buy cheap tripod -> buy twice.

  These Slik tripods are a great seller for us. Quite a few PI user bought them from us at the various shows. €150 which represents great value and its competitors cost about €250.

  Manfrotto, Giottos or Slik all produce quality tripods.
