Can I have some opinions please? :)

Sometimes, Janine, people feel like commenting if there are a few pictures rather than many. And numbering pictures can be useful.
I will get back to you later. :)

Hi Janine. I like #1 and #6. In #2 I like how the rocks lead into the picture, but the highlights on the water make the scene a bit dark. Same with #3. I think #4 is very dark and just wondering how it was metered. Likewise in #5 it’s very bright on top and very dark in the arch. Maybe they could look better if the weather wasn’t so good. Also, It could also be my monitor. # 1 is definitely my favourite of them.

No.1 is the best IMO but still its a little on the soft side.
No.2 is under exposed, horizon is not straight and sky is burnt out. Composition is ok with rocks as leading line.
no 3,4 and 5 dont do anything for me, all are under exposed too.
6 has potential. pity about the bright sky.
All in all Janine your pictures aint bad for someone only starting out. Im only new to all of this too and have used this site to help me along the way. I advise you to ask loads questions and more importantly listen to the guys and girls in here as they are very helpful and will improve your skills.
i saw a quote from a famous photographer( cant remember the name), and i believe in it.
“Your first 10,000 pictures are your worst”. guess theres hope for me yet:)

    Hi Janine,

I find it is much easier to comment on a members images when there is
a small number of images in one thread.

I find I have to keep going back to the images and sometimes I don’t have the
time to comment on multiple images when I look at a post the first time.

Of course the post may not show when I come back to the site unless somebody
    else has replied.
Then I would have to go searching for the thread and unless I have some good reason I
might not see that thread again.

This may result in not getting the replies one might like to and in your case obviously expect
judging by your reply to your own post.

I don’t wish to sound harsh but only trying to be helpful.

There is plenty of advice re this on the site like the link below

    Cheers,

    John.

#1 might be better if the sculpture were either very much a close-up, or just glimpsed at a bend in the path.

#3 may need a little clockwise rotation.

#4 and #5 These are too dark, they would be improved by “light at the end of the tunnel” so to speak.
