YermanParticipant5faytheParticipantcathaldParticipantVery nice Charlie love the movement in this
She’s a little cutie and I’d expect you will have this printed big at homeCathal
YermanParticipantHi Cathal, Not yet, but it will be a 12×16 at least, not sure if to print in mono or colour ?
JMac-2006ParticipantCharlie, Thats a great picture – lovely expression on your granddaughter and great moment mid step
if you dont mind me asking what set up / settings would you use for a photo like this – is it a big studio
TrishMemberHi Charlie,
I really like this picture. Love the way the dress flows around her feet, gives it a very fairy like feel to the picture.
You say you’re not sure to print it mono or colour. Do you have a mono version of it you’re thinking of printing? Love the soft colours of the picture so curious to see what feeling it would leave if it’s mono.Very nice picture tho. Something to be proud of. And isn’t Katie lucky with a granddad to take these kind of pictures of her! ;)
YermanParticipantHi Jason, my studio is size is app 30ft by 12 ft, and the set up were 2 lights for the vinyl back drop, 1- fill in light and one main light with soft box.

Katie is my only granddaughter and I love her to bits, but at times can be a handful as far as taking photos of her as she won’t stay still very long. I haven’t got around yet to modifying it to mono, but when I do it will be uploaded here, thanks for your comments. Yerman
Hi Trish check this out
TrishMemberOh for me that would def. be the colour one.
The colours make her look more angelic (a picture doesn’t show the ‘handfull side’ to her.. altho the eyes say it all!), the picture looks softer in colour. For me as an outsider and no emotional connection to the little girl in the picture, I keep being drawn to her feet and the way the dress floats around it. This is much nicer in the colour one as well.
YermanParticipantHi Trish, I have ordered a colour 12 x16 print last week, as I just did not think the B/W done it justice. Yerman
