Took this the other day on Baltray beach. This ship used to be known as The Irish Trader and it ran aground in 1974. At the time it was carrying 410 ton of fertiliser. I think that didn’t take a sharp enough turn for the river Boyne and ended up stranded here in Baltray. It is a very photographed wreck but it is usually snapped from the front end. It was very spooky and eerie around this ship, the heavens started to open just as I was taking this.

    C&C, as always, welcome.

    Thanks,

    Janine.

    Hi Janine,

The image is a little large and I can’t see it all on my
screen which is a pity because it looks like a good image.

The “brooding” sky and mono conversion seems to suit
    the subject.

    Cheers,

    John.

    Hi John,

Thanks for commenting, I just changed the size to medium. :D
