Second hand 30D Price ?
-
breathnachParticipant
Hi All
I am curious about how much is a realistic price for a Canon Eos 30D body only. It is in very good condition. I am thinking of upgrading to a 50D.
I have not gone to a shop yet as i know if i managed to sell it private it would be better.
What do you think?Regards
Peter Walsh
CorkShleedMemberProbably 500-600 at most. Camera bodies don’t hold their value well unlike lenses.
nfl-fanParticipantA mint 30D body is on eBay.ie at the moment.. currently €338 with 35 minutes to go on the auction.
Personally I wouldn’t pay much more than €350-€400 depending on the condition.
I paid close to €600 for a mint 30D last year… but it was I.R. converted (€300 service) and had been recently serviced… so that made the price acceptable.
breathnachParticipantThanks guys, Ya i would be happy with the 400 mark. Cant see them going for much more thant that to be fair.
Peter
YermanParticipantI also have one for sale in perfect condition with all original accessories, used only at a back up camera. have I over priced it at €650 inc battery grip and spare set of batteries ?

I have just dropped the price of the 30D TO €500. At this price its a bargain
scasMemberYermanParticipantIts worth a hell of a lot more than €350 in its perfect condition, if that’s all I can get, then its stays in the bag as a back up.
scasMemberprobably is to you- i got a perfect 40d 3 months ago for 390, about 50 euros less than it was worth. sold my perfect 30d about a year ago for 310
scasMembergot a perfect 5d last year for 750 and a 1d2n last year for 950- no1 pays top dollar anymore
YermanParticipantMy PERFECT 30D includes a battery grip and all original software, charger and cables and a set of spare batteries. I have seen one for sale in a free adds paper for €750.
scasMemberas did mine with 3500 on the shutter. i,m not trying to make you feel bad or give out to you, just why would you pay more for it than a used 40d which go for about 450. with free ads you can stick it in for any price and theres always a fool out there with money, but if you actually want to sell it you need to be realistic
