I’m getting creeped out just looking at this! Very eerie Ken, even in broad summer daylight it’s spooky.
Reminds me of Physco or something.

I’d be coming back here if I were you, for sure. Heaps of material here.

Would you be brave enough to go inside?

Ha ha, It’s funny that Sinead just mentioned Psycho, I was expecting Norman Bates “Mother” to be sitting in the window. :D Back to the shot though, I like the way you caught the sunlight in the windows but I wonder if the sun was a little higher would it cast a nice light over the front of the house? The tree looks like that has seen better days as well. I also wonder how a monochrome version of it would look? I’d say it was a nice place to live at one time.

    I like this,

The light is very . . . weird.

Wonder what it would be like in mono?

    Hi Sinead,
this was lived in up to about 3 years ago – it look isolated but it is just beside a main road, but faces the harbour.

I definitely plan to return in better light, and with somebody holding my hand!

    Cheers

Hi Miki. agree about the light, this was taken at about 10pm last night – we were out hunting sunsets at the time, so we definitely plan to return. I tried it in mono, but because of
the poor light, the colour is much better (imo)

there is something about houses with these old fashioned porches that when they get a bit rough looking go all “Bates Motel” I see potential there :)

Aye.. lots of potential here Ken.

Not sure the pic, as is, is being used to it’s best potential but that house in mono with a twinge of sepia, some dark clouds and some vinaigretting would look great.
