I can see a good few things wrong with this photo but I like it. I would love some C&C’s
5faytheParticipantHi Button,
Theres a few things right too I think.
I think the idea is pretty good.
You’ve got the child’s hands minding the bird and the man’s hands
minding the child.I fell it might have been better if you had got down to the childs
level and maybe been able to show his eyes and all the mans hands. The bird and part of the hands look a little out of focus as well.
A good effort though.
John.
miki gParticipantHi Button. I like it. It’s a lovely gentle caring kind of image from both the man and the child. (don’t know how the bird felt about it though :D ) A lower angle would certainly help and I would have prefered if the man was also at the childs level. Nice shot though
ButtonParticipantThanks, I know there is a lot of things I could of done better but with trying to ensure that the little chicken wasn’t squashed in the process or fly away I didn’t have much time.
Broadford1ParticipantTrishMemberNow parents of this lovely wee boy please don’t hurt me, but… Looking at the title it’s about the gentle hands.
I love the contrast of the small fluffy bird, the clean and still unworn hands of the child and the older worn hands of the (i think) man?
Think this would be a real strong picture if you crop around the hands and the little bird a bit more.
Ok it wouldn’t belong that much in category ‘People’ anymore I suppose but I think it will be a picture full of emotion if you focus on those “Gentle hands” even more by cropping more. For me i’m drawn to that sweet look on the child’s face which takes away from the title of the pic.Throw in some black and white and you have some picture! ;)
ButtonParticipantThats what I like about the picture too Trish. Yep it is a man  Didn’t think his rough hands left much doubt
I will give that a go, I think though the little chick might be a little too much out of focus to get away with it but I may have another photo at a slightly different angle.. must have a look laterPaddysnapperParticipant
