Took these shots last night while out with the bro (KWBARBS).

The light was just alright, so tried to make the most of it.

    All comments welcome.

    Thanks

That is really sad – we posted the same images (sort of) at the exact same time even though we are about 80 miles apart…… very sad!

No 2 for me here Peter the little ripple waves
make it a very relaxing shot
No 1 seems to have a bit of a green cast through it

    Hi Peter,

You have a couple of nice images there.

    I prefer # 2 as well.
The distant land looks very small in #1 especially at this size.

Even though the land size in #2 is not much different scalewise
    somehow I think it’s a better image.
    Maybe it’s the warmer tones.

    Well done.

    John.

Both are very nice images Peter, I think #1 could be improved if the grass was not there, I find it distracts a little.
Other than that very fine images, especially #2

    Thanks for the comments folks,

    Kieran,

You beat me to it by a few seconds, but is good to see different persepctive on the same scenes

I agree with the hills being too distant, thats the problem with wide angle lenses, which is a shame as I was looking onto Grainan Aileach but you wouldn’t be able to pick it out from this shot.

Must start trying to use other lenses for lanscapes.

The green cast is probably as a result of too much saturation, but I have toned that down after posting the shot.

I actually liked the bit of foreground interest, and it was a pain trying to process it, but it is probably too dominant in the shot in comparison to the size of the hills. So maybe a more balanced shot would be better.
