The pole star is a sculpture I recently shot for a scene in a short film. Since then I’ve come to appreciate it even more. This is a photo taken at dawn of the sculpture which can be found in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
I’ve photo’ed this myself and this is better than my efforts.
I don’t know how to do it, but I’d like to get a better impression
of its scale. From this shot you wouldn’t realise that each component
is a full-size telegraph pole.
You caught this one well,
the silhouette style bring out the forms very nicely and the coloured sky sets it off very well.
I would say that you need a bit more on the bottom to balance out the photo, even if it is all black,
but still very nice.
