Towards the Dachstein glacier

Took this last week while in austria, a hugh amount of blue haze everywhere, so i’m finding these mountain
ones getting the high contrast b/w treatment. Thoughts on processing would be welcome.
For some reason the linky version seems better, think its the re-sizing.

    Thanks John

Just getting up there is impressive, unless there was a helicopter involved-

There’s no information about the picture-
    I’m guessing it was digital?
This would have been a good subject for your 4×5…

Nice layering, fantastic clarity over a long distance-

Hi joseph, Yes this was taken with my nikon. I haven’t used my 4×5 much for landscape recently, more portraits. Unfortunately I’m letting the bulk
get to me. I’m setting myself to making a rigid front section for my 90mm at hyperfocal and grafting it on the the rear standard of my sinar. I think
shooting more big film will compensate for lack of movements. I see you’ve already tried that. John

I’ve skied on the Dachstein many times, its a beautiful place.

    Nice pic.

Really nice shot and as JB says, lots of clarity.
I recall an NFL post with details on how to process using the tool drop to select blackest and whitest points. Seems to work well on haze
