True, but Sinead was in there very quickly – almost as quickly as a springer.

The rest of us had a giggle to ourselves. Sinead is just a very naughty girl.

Sinead only said what everyone was thinking. Fair play to her  Mick, the fire station might be a good place to try, but I would love to see the faces on the firemen when you try to explain why you want it.

Erm, x-rated? I didn’t say anything x-rated, just asked about Mick’s back. It’s you lot who are x-rated

Those helmets are heavy, I’ve worn one a few times… (I applied for the fire service once).
I almost slid down the pole once too, but chickened out, you have to go through a door, but,
what I didn’t know is that it is a one way door, so there is only one way out… down the pole.

My friend (fireman) and the rest of his fireman friends all had a great laugh at me, eventually one
of them ran up the stairs and let me out, since that day, I’ve never asked to slide down a fireman’s pole.

So, a word of caution, if you ever feel the urge to ask to do such a thing, just think about it first. Save some unnecessary embarrassment.

Mick, I’m sure if you asked at the station they would lend you one.

Mick, will be in my parents tomorrow, my dad was in the fire brigade, his helmet should be at home that he was using for the last 20 years of it. Not sure what model it is and if it is what your after but will check….

Had a look at his helmet, looks like the current issue of helmet. White with a front visor on it, black tape and Dublin fire brigade logos etc… Made by Cairns & Brother, these are the main makers of FB helmets nowadays…. Possibly not to your brief though…..
