Recommend a decent camera backpack

    Hey guy and gals
Can anyone recommend a decent backpack for carrying a camera with 70-200 2.8 lens attached, don’t want a huge backpack, I was thinking about something like the mini trekker from lowepro but I’m not sure if its big enough, would also like to carry second camera body and a few other bits and pieces.

    Hi Paul,

I have a mini trekker and have had a Nikon camera body with battery pack connected to the 70-200 2.8 many the time with no problem. You need to reverse the hood but it will fit fine. You will fit a 2nd camera body (with no battery pack) and possibly one other lens and thats it….

I would recomend a bigger bag though as when this bag gets full and heavy it does not have great back support so if carrying it for a long time you could end up with a sore back….

Im changing my camera bag at the moment, i have a full Mamiya RZ system in it these days and its just not big enough, will keep an eye on this thread….

I have the mini trekker also. I think it’s great, very sturdy with good protection.
I can fit a body with the 70-200 f2.8 and also another body with a 50 attached. After that you should have room for a flash and maybe another lens.
There would still be room for filters, film etc…

Never found the support an issue.

If you really want a small one I have a Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 and it can just fit a D300 with an 80-400mm f4.5-5.6 lens (with the lens hood reversed).
