The man was a character … 89 years of age and flirtin’ with the lassies all day long … you can see the twinkle in his eye :-)

    C&C welcomed …

Thats really nice Phil, he does look a character, love it as it is, but I also
like it cropped at the top, just moving the screen up a little and cropping
just about an inch or so makes him look even cheekier.

    Hi Phil,

Nicely captured and a good conversion.

    Well done.

Thanks folks … I do have a crop in mind, much as jenny mentioned, although tighter on his face …

    That’s fabulous, great expression-

    Since you mentioned the crop,
I’d have to say that I might prefer it a bit wider rather than closer-
though if you hadn’t mentioned it at all,
I would have liked it just fine as it is.

I think this is a great shot. Reminds me of my own da,( always chasing women  ) and you’ve caught the rogue in him with the twinkle in his eye. Well done

I did see this the other day, then forgot about it. Excellent portrait, such a twinkle in his eyes,
    brings an instant smile.

Good to hear this made you smile Sinead…

this is the kind of shot I hope to take more of in the future … I enjoyed talking to the subject as much as taking the shot …. I hope I’m this fortunate in the future

Great expression and fabulous detail. I also would have preferred a little more space on top and less on the bottom.

That really is a fabulous portrait. You’ve certainly captured a great
deal of character there. Terrific expression, and great detail in your
finish too. Nice work to be sure…
