White Balance Lens Filter Cap

Hi all, I have come across the above on ebay and I am wondering if anyone has any experience of one and if so are they any good ?
Buy yourself a box of Tayto Tubz (like Pringles) and use the lid. It’s opaque and white, not see through like Pringles. Set up a custom white balance by pointing at the light source and Bobs your uncle…and all for €1.69.
[EDIT]Obviously place the lid over the lens before pointing…forgot to mention that…ahem. :oops:Alan
