Well, I finally managed to break my Gunnes duck this week to get some film while up in Dublin
with the family for a couple of days. What a nice bunch of people, great customer service. John Gunn wasn’t there himself
just his daughter and wife.Spoke to Mrs Gunn, seems JB that you’re well known in there :)
jb7ParticipantAll you’ve got to do is spend money and take their picture-
it’s a winning combination-Was just thinking, they’re due another one.
I’m surprised more people don’t do it…

Would that be through reputation or notoriety?
Alan
jb7ParticipantThey miss us all equally, Mark could have mentioned Martin or Fintan or anyone-
Next time I go in, they’ll be asking for Mark…MarkKeymasterThey knew Martin, Fintan and Peter too lol…
I didn’t give Mrs Gunn my name, however did say that I was all the way from Cork to
visit the legendary shop. This was indeed true. After all I’ve heard I wanted to see it
for myself. Its certainly a place to support. Bought some film, then had a look around at the stock (wrong
way around I know lol), ended up buying a few more bits. Next time I’ll have a list prepared :)I’d love to take a photo of them, they’re the real thing.

100 lines for you too Mark. :)
CooksterParticipantNever took any pictures in the shop, did manage to get a print on the old back door, before the renovations.
Nice pic JB7
I’d love to see a pic of John with one of his trains?
Support this Irish photography institution, the girls are definitely going to keep the tradition going.
