LoFi – Toy Camera II
-
jessthespringerParticipant
We had one in April, one of the best days out I’ve had with a camera, just really good fun, speeding around Dublin on the top deck of a HoHo tourist bus.
I like to organise another, I though it might happen before the end of summer, but there seems to be lots happening else where.
So, I’m now thinking of sometime before the end of October, before winter descends and there is still light to a reasonable hour.
Anyone interested? All welcome…
Open for suggestions of things to do also, there has been one suggestion of ‘a day at the races’ but if you have ideas, lets hear them.
Ideas:
A day at the races
A car/stroke boat trip
A ghost bus trip
A walk around the marketsNames:

Q. What is LoFi?
A. Photography with the most basic of instruments, e.g. Pinhole, LoMo, Holga, Diana, Toy Camera, a Plank of Wood, etc and so on and such forth…
Q. Who can take part in this event?
A. Anyone with a LoFi camera. If your not sure if your camera is LoFi, ask here and we’ll try and answer as best we can.
Q. Are Digital Cameras allowed?
A. Not really, unless it’s LoFi. If your not sure if your camera is LoFi, ask here and we’ll try and answer as best we can.
If you have any more questions on this event please do not be afraid to ask…
jb7ParticipantjessthespringerParticipantNow Joseph… Is your plank really LoFi? You can use it, but only with the motion sickness lens.
The Opera? Goodness me… that’s very posh! Don’t know if I have a dress to match my Holga.
deborahParticipantLooking at the pics from the last one I definately want to try this! Count me in and it gives me an excuse to buy another camera!
MartinParticipantCount me in,
How about the viking splash tour this time around? the one that is a boat/car/ridiculous looking thing….
more info here http://www.vikingsplash.iejb7ParticipantPlastic camera, plastic helmet, plastic cowhorns?
I need to check my diary again,
I think I might be washing my hair that day…MartinParticipantjb7 wrote:

PS: Only an idea
jb7ParticipantaoluainParticipantA preliminary YES
and Im not bringing the digital this time especially if
we are going on the bus/bike/car/boat thing.JB should be fine if the the thing goes down he will
have plenty of buoyancy with the arca-irish !jb7ParticipantAlan, since I’m not allowed to bring the Plank,
I’m hardly going to be allowed to bring something better…You’re just trying to stir it up Alan,
less of that monkey business…aoluainParticipantSorry JB of course it is not the Arca Irish . . .
I meant the point and shoot
jessthespringerParticipantWelcome aboard deborah… Literally. maybe…
Good idea Martin… I might be too scoundered to actually take any pictures though. Maybe…
Joseph, are you worried about helmet hair? I’d be concerned about that too.
AlessiaParticipantuhhhhhh, I’m in!!!!!!! even if it’s the Viking Splash Duck tour :)
P.S.
What about the Ghost Bus??
http://www.dublinsightseeing.ie/ghostBus.aspx :PRobMembernfl-fanParticipantOK.. I’m in.
Disaster & emergencies aside… if I don’t show up then Mark can ban me from the site for a month.
Don’t get any funny ideas now e.g. changing the meet location so I can’t find y’is and getting me banned on purpose.
Wot’s the name of that street with all the markets… Thomas Street? I wouldn’t mind taking a trek up that way if it’s possible or something similar?
