How’ya getting on there

Hey guys,
Been interested in photography for a while but only recently upgraded to my first dlsr – Nikon D40 with 18-55mm. Had it about 2 months now and I am loving being to manually set a shot rather than using a point and shoot. Cheap as chips from amazon.com
Slowly growing out of the D40, but in the mean time I have ordered a SB600 with wireless trigger and 55-200mm VR lense to increase my range and also to practice with off camera flash.
I am interested in landscapes / b&w / portraits and sports. And I am sure I will get into others. I own and run http://www.paintballer.ie so I will be doing a lot of action shots for that. I already have been doing with a friends 70-300mm vr.
I will eventually either get a Cannon 5d or a D700 in a year or so when I outgrow my current set up.
