Le Dorat farmers market – BBQ heaven
-
KWBarbsParticipant
This was the local farmers market in Le Dorat France. You buy the meat from the farmers and then the locals will cook it for you on the BBQ, it was hectic but a great experience.
Not sure about the B&W conversation so any tips would be useful. There is a colour version here.
b318ispParticipantYum! I’d lose the rail at the bottom and maybe try pulling the levels to get more black in there…

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I previously tried messing with the levels, but not with much success. I have tried your suggestions and re-cropped and darkened down it a little. I had to lose more off the RHS as it became very black and lacked any detail.
Thanks,
Kieran.
wirepicParticipantI had a look at the colour version and I prefer it. I think the plume of smoke is washing things out here.
I just have to ask though, is that a hair dryer in the guys hand nearest the camera? And if so what is he doing with it at a bbq?

Yes! They were using them to fire up the BBQ coals…. the other guy out of shot was using a large desk fan!
KWBarbsParticipantCooksterParticipantHey KW
The Crop works really well. Really drawn into the image now.

I’m enjoying the series – but I pick the first one in your last post as my favourite.

LOn balance I also prefer that image – I completely missed it the first time I reviewed these and I personally think it is processed better (or maybe not).
At the time it looked like the tourist was doing a bit of queue jumping and trying to get his food cooked first…. the BBQ cook was having none of it with traditional gallic flair!Kieran.
