A few shots taken around 89/90 Just too let people know why im still putting these old shots up, i only came back to photography last xmas after 16yrs so negs likes these have been hidden away since then, im finally letting people see them.
Thanks for looking and C&C welcome Joe
kenhParticipantenjoyed looking at these Joe – they could almost be back in the 50’s or 60’s.
No. 2 is a wonderful image, a documentary masterpiece in itself! Very well done!
jb7ParticipantYes they look great, looks a lot more than twenty years ago-
The portrait of the guy with the key on his belt is wonderful-
and PJ Syron too-A very good set altogether-
Were these colour negs?

(one of them seems to be missing…)
GizzoParticipantLoGillParticipantSuperb series – great narrative to them all
really nicely treated – I love them :)

piusno1MemberThanks for your comments
ib7 – these are all 35mm ilford xp1 400 b/w negs
Let me know if the third one is back ok, I was doing some slight adjustments on it, so the link changed.
No2 was cropped at the bottom because of a head sticking up that didn’t suit the composition.
I my self like no1 because of the way the two old bookies are just standing there waiting for someone to put a bet on and the other bookies are doing something and then there’s the boy looking at the tote, it sums it up in a way the two old boys are of a different generation.
I also like the pose of no3 and no4.
cheers Joe
wirepicParticipantnfl-fanParticipantbingbongbiddleyParticipantFantastic, absolutely fantastic. I’m very enthusiastic abouts these shots! I agree with NFL’s request to post more.
Love the second particularly, a masterpiece, as Gizzo said.
Great work.
RobMemberSimply fabulous. Great to see you posting more of your old
work, and do keep it coming…JonathanCurranParticipantLove the expressions in #2.
Looks like they just had a faller and I’d say the guy in the pin stripped suit could have had at least £10 on it…
I love these old type of shots, hopefully todays images will have half the impact of these in 20 years time.oconParticipantdavedunneParticipantBrilliant!!!
I love number 2 also. Would be even better if that guy on the right had also covered his face to make the set.
Great stuff all around. Look forward to seeing more.
jessthespringerParticipantThese are great, it must be nice looking through them all after so long.
I’d like to see more too…
