Very cool picture Sean. I really like this. Can you explain how you achieved this effect for us PS novices.
CooksterParticipantHi Mark,
Thanks for the comments
I’m trying to teach myself PS too, accidentally came across this.
Anyway I was messing about with grain to try and give this an older feel. Just varied the contrast and intensity to either side of the scale. I didn’t take note of the settings and don’t seem to be able to find them in the Layer
Sean
jessthespringerParticipantI like it too Sean, great contrast and lovely reflections.
Wouldn’t be gone on the watermark though.Sinead
CooksterParticipantHi Sinead
Thanks for the comment. The watermark is another PS technique I am trying to figure out. They always seem to come up in the middle of the image. Figured its better to post with a naff watermark than not use one at all. Any tips on improving it?

LoGillParticipantMini’s – just love them !!!
I think you need to add a keyline to keep in image in the frame – with the light area of the window it sorts of bleeds out (- hope that makes sense)
I LOVE the heavy cross processing – it very much suits the image – I Hate the watermark ;)

Took this photo in a wet field of Minis. they were immaculate, some kinda competition.
Mark: I’ve been trying to duplicate a text layer into the image workflow, Prob just need to set up the positioning in the original text template.
LoG: See what you mean. Assume Keyline is a pinstripe frame. I’ll give it a go and I’ll change the Waterblotch too!

wirepicParticipantCooksterParticipantThanks Fergus
I posted this as soon as I had done it and it is growing on me the whole time. I really like the glossy reflections in the green car and the grain in the red and black. The rain adds to it too
Next step, get it printed and see how it looks on paper (I’ll be over to you Sheldon)

That’s the way I’d do it too.
Key line. Image > Canvas Size. I usually make them about 3 or 4 pixels.I tend to use pearl or luster papers, but I think this would suit a glossy paper. Maybe.
