Nikon D60

Hi all,
As i said in the intro section i’m starting a course soon and want to get my own SLR camera…would the Nikon d60 be a good one to start off with??
Not wishing to upset Sheldon’s sale in any way, do be aware that the Nikon D40 and D60 models will not autofocus with most of the older Nikon lenses (ie those that require a mechanical actuation). This is not necessarily a big thing unless you have a box load of old Nikon lenses in the attic.

Thanks for the tip….no lenses lying around just old camera’s …..Want to start off my collection now though :wink: starting college in a couple of weeks so need to order this if its a good camera…play round with it a little
It is a good camera, an excellent one to get started on. Easy to use in automatic mode but still has all the manual controls for more advanced stuff.
