Some Photos taken of a dazzling display of Butterflies on one Sedum Bush in a garden in Co.Meath.
All handheld shots as had not got my tripod with me.
From what I have checked on the web , have identified as titled on the images

    Peacock

    Tortoiseshell

    Red Admiral

Greyling : Not 100% sure and this the only shot of this one

I love butterflies. The Peacock shot is a nice one. They’re a wonderful looking creature. The bottom one looks like a Small Tortoiseshell. A Grayling wouldn’t be as dark as that but they can fool you. I have a shot of a Meadow Brown whose underwings were almost pure white. Wierd!!

Thanks for that Kew Tours. I’m no expert on the subject and looked at the Butterflies ireland Website,
and no4 seemed to a Greyling but as I say I’m no expert in this field and I just happened upon
    these on the Sedum Bush.

They’re nice butterflies, the colour in the 1st one are gorgeous. The backgrounds look a bit busy and distracting though.
