Fairly ordinary shot I know, but I had a search and couldn’t find any other hedgehog shots on here. Taken last night in the pitch dark on my door step, it has been coming around for the past few weeks to eat leftover cat food (nuts) and the slugs that the cat food attracts. Live in an urban setting.
Nice one. I haven’t come across any hedgehogs (alive) this year. You should be able to get some nice shots as he is a regular visitor to your place.
If it’s a regular visitor then its worth putting some time into it and getting some more shots. Try to get it on some grass or leaves or something more natural looking and get down really low with the camera on a beanbag or similar for an eye level shot.
Last night was the first night I got a good look at it. Unfortunately it curled up right after that shot when I tried to give it some more food. Went up to get another camera then, and when I came back down it was heading back into the bushes. No grass in the front garden I’m afraid. I’ll see what I can get though.
