I was out in Wicklow for a few hours during the week and tried to capture this dramatic
light not sure if i have got the best out of the raw file c&c welcome.Mick
andy mcinroyParticipantI like this Mick,
This might be one for a monochrome edit. I really like the subtle approach you have taken. So easy to overdo those clouds. At the start I wasn’t too sure about the dark triangle in the bottom right but looking again I think it gives the image the contrast it needs. It also compliments the line of the path very nicely.
I must get a run down to Wicklow one day. Looks really wild.
Andy
mgstParticipantNo comments or suggestions must be perfect Ha Ha.
A well off to Croatia in a few hours for a bit of sun.
Mick.
carrigmanParticipantNossieParticipantJMac-2006ParticipantVery nice image well done – is that Table mountain near Glendalough with flat top?

Andy the PI meet 3-4th October would be good excuse
pauloconParticipantNice shot. It’s not easy to capture those light rays.
Mind me asking what mountain you took that from?
PixelleMemberWhat a peculiarly flat ridge on the horizon.

It’s our pumped-storage hydroelectricity plant. :)
aoluainParticipantvery nice, love those light rays.
I would like to see a bit more contrast and saturation here too
anyway very nice image.

Ahh yes Turlough hill. One of the many sets used in the movie King Arthur and others I’m sure. It has vicious unpredictable weather up there, a madness to be experienced.
sharonlMemberlove those sun beams :D have seen them a lot recently and each time either in some spot thats pretty useless for photos or without my camera. Must be getting into sun beam time of year. well captured
sharonmiki gParticipantmgstParticipantThanks to all for the comments just back from a week in Croatia so a bit of catching up to do.
