It’s not technically people but it’s not wildlife either so…..
I was on the beach last saturday at home in Kerry with the dog. Was trying this for ages but she wasn’t the most obedient of dogs so I couldn’t get what I was trying to get unfortunately in the first one. Looks like I’ll have to wait till next year to have another go!!
The reason you can’t see my left hand is because I had the remote in it :)
LoGillParticipantgorgeous dog :)
The first captures a lovely playful moment (if you count your dog eating your hand as playful ;) ) I think it would have worked better if you were fully in it – that would allow the viewer to see the full interaction between you and make the photograph more interesting .
The second I really like the perspective – there are just two things I would suggest for improvement – the obvious being that its a shame she’s not focused on you – and second there looks to be a little overexsposure along her side –
Nice colours and lovely set – Why do you have to wait ’till next year !! get out there and shoot more of these ;)

jessthespringerParticipantThese are good, lovely dog!
I think a bit more room on the left to include the shadows might have been good,
but also, it may not have been possible.I’m curious, what you were trying to get? And why you have have to wait?

BallymanParticipantCheers for the comments ladies.
In relation to what I was trying to do for the first one, I was trying to get her walking beside me and then for her to turn back as the camera fired! :) Was impossible to do. Thats what the ball was for, to try and get her to look towards the camera. I was trying to get her eyes to follow it and look towards the camera but she kept jumping up on me and trying to eat it!!
I checked the exposure on the second one Lorraine and it’s spot on on the histogram although it does look a tad bright on the rhs here. Always trust the histogram or so they say!! :)
I kinda like the pose she has in this one but it might be better if she was looking at me alright. Unfortunately I don’t have any of her looking at me though. Most of them are either her looking down at the camera or trying to run away. She was actually looking at a few birds when I took this one and was running towards them 1 second later so I didn’t get another opportunity!! The place is full of birds in the morning and people in the afternoon. Too many distractions for her.The reason I said I’d have to wait till next year was a reference to our crap weather!! And the fact that I don’t get home to Kerry too often anymore :(
LoGillParticipantThey’re a lovely set and as for the weather ….. I hope your wrong ;)
Anyway – keep trying she’s gorgeous ( and bonkers) and a great model ;)
