  but that German looks far too friendly lol, plus he has an American rifle :)

  The blacked out lads had modern day kit on… and it didn’t fit with the image, so then I remembered that troops used to black out the faces of the deceased in the squad photo, so thought that might work….

  I’m still not 100% convinced. lol

  Maybe he’s American posing as a German Hen ;)

  Some of these guys display a problem common with re-enactors: they’re far too well fed for the period they’re re-enacting. :)

  BTW why is it that so many “German” re-enactors pick SS uniforms?

  no idea what the fascination with the SS is. Maybe is just they are more readily available or something…
