Applogies to the Celbridge gang, your probably sick of this now!
This guy was emptying an overturned paint truck, and we managed to get him and his workmates to let us get a few shots. I’m not sure in this shot if he’s posing or threatening me, but It worked out ok!
Merv.
phillipMembergreat shot!!! it look’s like a threat to me, as in get out of my face, but it’s priceless, you just caught a human emotion perfect timing
miki gParticipantHe almost looks like a toy from toys r’ us. He looks animated. I’d love to see the colour version of this. Great capture though.
DeeboParticipantWonderful shot and I wish I had taken this.
I bet this looks superb on print.
Nice one indeed

DeeThanks Deebo!
Yes, it makes a stunning print – it did well in a club competition for me, so I thought Id see if I could get other c&c on it before I try other competitions with it.
Some people grumble about the feet in the top left corner, some dont even notice! I cannot decide to leave them there or remove them!
Merv.
davedunneParticipantThis is really excellent. Before writing this I have come back to the photo many times.

I would leave it as it is. Right now this is a great documentary photograph. Once you start removing elements, it will become something else : still a great photo but no longer a document of what happened.
I agree with Deebo – I too wish I had taken this or even something half as good.
mervifwdcParticipantWow Dave, That’s a really nice compliment! I guess standing in the right place at the right time really pays off! :-)
Merv.
PitmaticMemberLoGillParticipantI’ll never get sick of it :)
– its a superb shot – love everything about the composition and the tone and detail … that sharpening technique is really good !
and yup I can vouch for the print being truly gorgeous also

beefParticipantMartinOCParticipantVery nice, don’t change it.
I like the feet in it, and as Dave says it is a more authentic document as is.Martin
Sgt_MajorMemberI would grumble more over the chopped fingers, the feet are fine where they are.
Bloody superb image either way though.
Very good mate, I salute you.
CoveyParticipantPerfect just as it is. You can add me to the “I wish I had taken this” list. Superb.
PhotoSligoMembercomposition, b&w conversion and details on his face are just perfect. Could you tell me what was he doing at the moment when you take a shot?
When i’m watching it i do not know i should be sad or laughin:) Very good photo.branocParticipant
